Claire Pritchard has been the Chair of the Mayor of London’s Food Board since March 2018 and has worked for over 20 years with food-related social enterprises in Greenwich. She has also run a pub and was brought up working on her father’s two allotments. She got into working in the food sector initially because she thought it would be fun. She hasn’t been disappointed, but she has also discovered it is much more than that. One of the people she has supported even saw their food business as a way to escape the world of gangs.
The Mint caught up with her in City Hall to find out more, and particularly whether London is leading the way.
