Christopher Dent is an international political economist who has been observing how international institutions have talked the neo-liberal language on climate change, energy and environment for the past few decades. The latest initiative is border tax adjustments, a standard, so-called market-based instrument being pushed by the European Union.
The Mint caught up with Christopher between his return from China and a break in Ireland to find out whether this idea was generating more heat than light and what the real solutions might look like.
