The Commission found Chinese video-sharing app TikTok’s addictive design features breach the bloc’s Digital Services Act (DSA) in a preliminary decision on Friday.
If the findings are confirmed, the EU has signalled it could force TikTok to take steps to reduce the stickiness of its platform to tackle digital addiction risks.
