George DeMartino is not your everyday academic economist. Over the past ten years and more he has campaigned for the economics profession, as he calls it, to have a code of ethics and be held accountable for its advice. His latest book on the subject is called The Tragic Science. So The Mint asked why he thought economics was tragic and what should be done about it.
