Smita Srinivas

Smita Srinivas holds a Ph.D. from MIT and is the EAEPE Myrdal Prize author of “Market Menagerie: Health and Development in Late Industrial States” (Stanford University Press, 2012). She has recently written on economics and its scientific method, based on a keynote address she gave at the 31st Annual EAEPE Conference. She is Professorial Fellow in Economics and Development at the Open University UK, Visiting Professor at NCBS, India, and has been affiliated with Columbia University, Harvard’s Kennedy School, University College London, the LSE, and several think-tanks. She founded the Technological Change Lab (TCLab) at Columbia University and has over two decades of global advisory experience and is a frequent keynote speaker.
