Laurie Macfarlane

Laurie Macfarlane is a Senior Economist at the New Economics Foundation and an editor at openDemocracyUK. He holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Strathclyde. Mr. McFarlane has previously worked as an economist with various UK and Scottish government agencies as well as with the Scottish think tank Common Weal. He has appeared as an economic analyst on a number of major broadcasters and written for publications including The Guardian and has co-authored the book ‘Rethinking the economics of land and housing’.
