Laura Carvalho is a Professor at the Department of Economics of University of São Paulo. She holds a PhD in Economics from the New School for Social Research (2012) and her research focuses on topics in Macroeconomics and Development Economics, particularly on the relationship between economic growth and income distribution. Besides publishing academic articles in scientific journals, Laura is currently an op-ed columnist for the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo.
