Tony Greenham

Tony Greenham is an expert on banking reform, inclusive finance and sustainability. After an initial career in the City as a chartered accountant and investment banker with Barclays and Credit Suisse, Tony worked as a director in a number of sustainability focused SMEs. He joined the New Economics Foundation 2010-5, becoming Associate Director of Economy and Finance, then the RSA’s Director of Economics until September 2018, when he become CEO of South West Mutual – a new regional mutual challenger bank with a focus on financing a just transition to a net zero carbon economy.

He is a member of the steering committee of the Banking on a Just Transition taskforce, a sustainability advisor to Lion Trust Asset Management and a Senior Fellow of the Finance Innovation Lab. He has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford Univerisity and an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Assessment and Evaluation from the London School of Economics.
