Tom is Associate Professor at Australian Catholic University. A sociologist of work with a background in economics and development studies, he is the author of two books on informal workers in India and over 30 journal articles. He is currently researching the impacts of robotics and ‘extended reality’ (XR) on workers, as well as low-wage work.
