Karen Marshall

Karen has been a teacher for over 27 years in a variety of schools and has taken leadership roles in girls’ schools now for over two decades. She has a Phd in Genetic Engineering and has research interests in resilience in education and STEM outreach. She works to enable young people to develop their confidence, have a say on environmental issues and build their wellbeing, most recently in the context of COVID-19.   She has been a judge in the finals of a variety of UK national school science competitions as well as mentoring students and teachers. She took an active part in mentoring young people in the Festival for Change.
