Josh is a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Countryside & Community Research Institute (CCRI), Josh’s current research focuses on identifying and addressing the skills required to support landscape-scale nature recovery.
Josh’s work is funded by the Education and Evolution Trust (as part of a broader collaborative studentship with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust (GWT), Sapperton Wilder, and the Royal Agricultural University (RAU). Beyond this, Josh’s interests extend to the social, legislative, and regulatory barriers to sustainable land management – with a focus on rewilding and nature recovery as instruments of transformative change – and he has contributed to a series of published, technical reports for Natural England, the Environment Agency, and Nattergal Ltd.
