James M. Cypher

James is a Research Scholar at the Institute for Sustainable Prosperity and a Research Professor in the Doctoral Program in Development Studies (UAED) at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (Mexico).  Dr. Cypher is an economist and specialist in Latin American Development. He is the author of The Process of Economic Development(Routledge, 2014), co-author of Mexico’s Economic Dilemma (Rowman and Littlefield, 2010), and the author of State and Capital in Mexico (Westview, 1990).
