J Mark Dodds

Mark  is a publican, social entrepreneur, and long-standing campaigner for Britain’s pubs, known for setting up and running The Sun & Doves pub in Camberwell (1995–2011) and co-founding the Fair Pint Campaign to challenge exploitative pub company practices. He is developing large-scale cooperative models to tackle the pubs crisis, such as the People’s Pub Partnership and the proposed “National Trust for Pubs,” aiming to bring pubs into community ownership as resilient, fossil-fuel-free social enterprises. In April 2025 he was elected to CAMRA’s National Executive, where he brings a publican’s perspective to revitalising the organisation and strengthening the role of pubs as anchors of community life.
