Francesco Vigliarolo

Francesco is titular prof. of Regional Economics at Catholic University of La Plata and a social economist. PhD. in Social Sciences, specialisation in economic sociology, post-doctorate in Economics and a Master’s in sustainable development. He is also an Associate Investigator of the CESOT (Centro de Estudios de Sociología del Trabajo) of the University of Buenos Aires. At the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, he is Chairholder of the UNESCO chair in “Economic Systems and Human Rights”, which he founded with almost 20 universities worldwide.

He published more than 10 books and many scientific articles, in which he explains concepts such as “social ethical capital”, “economic socialisation”, “demand of rights of people’s rights”, “meso-economics approach” and “the principles of economic phenomenology”. Among his latest books, are “Economic Systems and Human Rights: Using Socioeconomic Models and Practices to Promote Economic Socialisation”, Palgrave Macmillan (2025); “The economy is a social phenomenon. Principles of economics phenomenology”, Eudeba (2019) , “Wolves and lambs. Capitalist societies and ways out” Jaca Book (2017).
