Daniel holds a PhD in agroecology and rural sociology and works as a tenured scientist at the Institute of Economics, Geography and Demography of the Spanish National Research Council. His research focuses on agroecological transitions, establishing a dialogue with critical approaches to economic geography. He has experience of working on agri-food policies and governance, alternative agri-food networks, territorial sustainability transitions and multi-actor networks within the food system, adopting a committed, place-based, and action-oriented research approach. He is member of the European Agroecology Partnership and has coordinated the Spanish Network of Municipalities for Agroecology.
