Karel Williams is Professor of Accounting and Political Economy at Alliance Manchester Business School and previously director of the ESRC funded Centre for Research on Socio Cultural Change. With a team of co-researchers he pioneered research on financialization, led on the revival of elites research in the UK and latterly has worked on the everyday economy with a network of European colleagues.
