Ahead of this evening’s closure of its London camps, Extinction Rebellion (XR) this morning launched a final wave of protests across the capital’s financial sector.

Members of the Christian Climate Action (CCA) group kicked off the protests by climbing onto a roof of a DLR train at Canary Wharf. The group of five activists unfurled banners declaring ‘business as usual = death’ and ‘don’t jail the canaries’ before holding a prayer vigil on the roof of the train.
